Data Governance Adoption and Literacy Coordinator
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Governance Adoption and Literacy Coordinator. The Data Governance Adoption and Literacy Coordinator will establish a functional Data Governance literacy and adoption model by developing role-based competencies, steward onboarding standards, training materials, communications coordination, governance curriculum and practical guidance aligned to the enterprise data strategy. This role will also work with North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) to ensure alignment with statewide data governance efforts, policies, standards, etc.

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Governance Adoption and Literacy Coordinator. The Data Governance Adoption and Literacy Coordinator will establish a functional Data Governance literacy and adoption model by developing role-based competencies, steward onboarding standards, training materials, communications coordination, governance curriculum and practical guidance aligned to the enterprise data strategy. This role will also work with North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) to ensure alignment with statewide data governance efforts, policies, standards, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define role-based Data Governance competencies for owners, stewards, analysts, business users..
- Develop the HHS DG literacy framework aligned to enterprise data strategy.
- Establish certification/onboarding standards and practical guidance for data stewards.
- Design a governance capability roadmap across divisions.
- Coordinate with communications and change management teams on DG awareness and adoption.
- Develop tool proficiency guidance for glossary, metadata, standards and governance platform usage.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Data Governance, data management, training, change enablement, or enterprise program adoption.
- Strong writing, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to develop clear training, onboarding, and literacy materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Health and Human Services, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
- Experience developing data literacy, stewardship, governance, onboarding, or change enablement materials.
- Familiarity with business glossaries, metadata, data standards, reporting, dashboards, or governance platforms.
